Trinity has a long-standing relationship with Dellabrook Presbyterian Church, a historically African-American congregation, and in 1994 became part of the Presbyterian Inter-Racial Dialogue (PIRD).  Comprised of three historically white Presbyterian churches, and three historically African-American Presbyterian churches in Winston Salem, PIRD seeks to address racial issues that have affected our city for more than half a century.  PIRD provides opportunities for the six congregations to worship, celebrate, eat and work together.  Together with a Jewish temple and a Moslem mosque, the PIRD congregations built a Habitat for Humanity house in Winston Salem in 2006.  This was their second such endeavor.
